The company blends history with progressive ideas and credits the family patriarchs for instilling the creative talent and the desire to create beautifully crafted denim. Dr. Denim makes long-lasting, contemporary premium denim with an affordable price tag and a perfect, calculated fit that people can rely on to take them through the day and further. The brand is available in over 25 countries worldwide, and entered online retail in 2013. In 2015, they decided to take their online presence to a completely new level with the help of Vaimo.

The Challenge

After opening an online shop in 2013, Dr. Denim realised that their online customer experience felt outdated and did not reflect the brand’s values. Because every Dr. Denim garment is essentially the product of several generations’ worth of family tailoring, the shopping experience needed to reflect the warmth and laborious attention to detail that the brand is based on. This same vision resulted in Dr. Denim’s first two physical concept stores last year, and the company wanted to carry the similar atmosphere of a warm, well-curated shopping experience to the web. Dr. Denim required not only an intuitive and easy-to-use webshop, but also a forum for the company to publish its own content and to connect to their customers. Additionally, the brand needed an eCommerce partner that understood Dr. Denim’s needs, ambition, and passion for great customer experience. 


The Solution

Dr. Denim handled the design process of the project, while Vaimo supported the brand with smart solutions and the implementation of ideas. Vaimo delivered a state-of-the-art, responsive site that displays an easy to navigate product catalog that enables customers to find the products effortlessly. The new solution opens the channel of communication between the denim brand and its customers, with features such as the newly implemented Instagram feed. Vaimo also included the Vaimo CMS integration, which means that Dr. Denim’s staff can make quick changes and updates to the content of the site without compromise.
