Filippa K, founded in 1993 in Stockholm, is a leading Scandinavian fashion company. They design and manufacture fashion garments and accessories with their own, timeless style, for both women and men. The company sells the products through its own 50 Filippa K brand stores in 20 markets around the world, as well as through more than 700 international retailers, such as Selfridges, Bijenkorf, Liberty, NK, Stockmann and Illum. In May 2014 Filippa K launched their brand new website enabling customers to purchase Filippa K’s products also online.

Prior to this project and enabling customers to purchase Filippa K’s products online, Filippa K’s website was already running on the Magento platform. Before that the website used to serve purely as a showroom for inspiration, a source for information about Filippa K’s brand, its values and brand responsibility. The main challenge with the project was to launch a premium online store within a very tight deadline, and stick to the scope. To interpret Filippa Ks brand identity, being pixel perfect, to a transactional website was also a challenge. Considering Filippa K have waited until now to launch their new brand website and online store, customers also have high expectations on omnichannel service, to keep the brand experience online, as high level as in their stores.
Vaimo developed an online store that follows Filippa K’s brand values and design requirements and helped not only to make the website responsive, but create a special touch-style solution for mobile devices. Vaimo delivered a good result, combining user experience with Filippa K aesthetics and graphical guidelines. Vaimo’s experts will together with Filippa K continuously work on the customer experience on mobile devices, to improve the usability while keeping the perfect look and feel on the website.

The project team was dedicated to the tight deadline and the ability to stick to set scope and deliver a live website on time and budget. Filippa K also learned a lot by working with Vaimo in this project, for example the importance of testing and the time and attention to detail required from all parties. The launch went quick and smooth, a great result considering the technical complexity and despite of team members placed in different time zones.
