The Challenge

With the rapid rise in use of mobile devices, it was crucial for TIMco to choose an eCommerce platform that supports responsive development and omnichannel strategy. TIMco wanted to choose an eCommerce platform that provides full commerce functionality with an easy set up. One of the challenges was the integration of the site to TIMco’s stock management system. The information had to be pulled from the stock management system and orders had to be pushed back from Magento to the stock management system together with all the necessary information. Also, TIMco’s customers have tailored pricing and carriage terms. This meant that the data about the customers and price lists had to be pushed from TIMco’s ERP software into Magento and then to the stock management system.

The Solution

Vaimo helped TIMco revamp their online presence with a new web store built on the Magento platform. The implemented design follows TIMco’s brand profile and accommodates an intuitive purchasing process to rationalize the full customer journey. Vaimo also helped streamline the work processes at TIMco by building a fully-fledged integration between Magento and TIMco’s ERP solution, Sage X3. This bridge supplies real-time data to allow stock, orders, products and customers to always be up-to-date in both systems, therefore avoiding time-consuming reconciliation work for TIMco employees. Also, it’s possible for B2B customers to view their outstanding invoices and download them in .pdf format.
